In this article, you will learn how to complete the Healthcare Powers of Attorney Package.
- Start by logging into your estate planning dashboard, then click "Get Started" under Healthcare Powers of Attorney Packages tile:
2. You will complete a healthcare power of attorney for each spouse. You will need to answer the following questions:
- Contact information
- Legal residence
- A patient in skilled nursing (Y/N)
- Physically able to sign (Y/N)
3. You will indicate the person you want to act as your durable power of attorney for healthcare. Your spouse and any other person added during the previously-completed tiles will be in the drop down. You can select a previously-named person from the drop down or add a new person.
4. Next, indicate any health documents you have signed previously (not with Estate Guru). Please note that we do not prepare these documents listed, this is for informational purposes:
5. Indicate the state in which the documents will be signed.
6. Review the responses. Click on any field to correct information, then click back to summary.
7. Click next to have the documents generated.
8. Click in the checkbox to approve, then click "Next".
8. Click on your spouse's name to complete their Healthcare Powers of Attorney.
9. Complete the Powers of Attorney for the second spouse, then click "Close" as directed above.
